Mark your calendars! Our annual all-day Winter Conference is set for January 16, 2027, featuring a keynote speaker, presentations, and our annual membership meeting and board member elections.

As music therapists and healthcare providers, our work asks us to give our full presence, our voices, and our physical bodies every single day. How do we keep playing without burning out? How do we build practices, bodies, and careers built to last?

Join the Oregon Association for Music Therapy for a day centered on clinical durability, physical sustainability, and community strength. Featuring a presentation on the History of Music Therapy in Oregon by Dr. Ted Ficken, alongside interdisciplinary workshops spanning injury prevention, somatic care, and clinical innovation.

Call for Proposals: We Want to Feature Your Work!

Are you exploring novel interventions, ergonomic/somatic tools, supervisor longevity, interdisciplinary partnerships, or burnout prevention? We invite music therapists and allied professionals to submit proposals for our concurrent breakout tracks.

  • Submission Deadline: December 1, 2026, 11:59pm PST

  • Review Process: 100% Blind Review

  • Presentations Welcomed: 50-minute clinical breakouts, experiential workshops, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Our upcoming Fall Supervision is a dedicated, confidential online space to step back from day-to-day sessions, consult with colleagues across Oregon and Southwest Washington, and gain fresh clinical inspiration. Led by President-Elect Melissa Gabel, this session centers on real-world clinical problem-solving, ethical considerations, and innovative intervention ideas across mental health settings.
